Our President and CEO, Nay Hla came to the US from his native country. Since many of his countrymen were working in the sushi industry, he followed suit. After working his way up through the ranks of other top sushi companies, Nay saw an opportunity for improvements to the retailer-chef-sushi company relationship. He brought those innovations to life as Sushi Avenue.
Since being founded in 2004, Sushi Avenue has experienced extraordinary growth and development. Now operating in over 16 states and in over 270 retail locations nationwide, Sushi Avenue has successfully been able to anticipate the trends in this ever-evolving industry. To that end, Sushi Avenue launched its first full-service restaurant concept in 2011, and opened the nationally recognized and critically-acclaimed Masu Sushi and Robata restaurant. Entering 2013, Sushi Avenue is once again looking to shake up the sushi industry with its new fast-casual concept: One Two Three Sushi, now open at the Crystal Court of the IDS Center in downtown Minneapolis and on the U of M Campus Dinkytown. One more location is on its way.
